The Beyond

Akesha expands upon the emotional and symbolic foundation first introduced in A New Journey (2021)— a body of work born from grief, absence, and the impossible weight of unfinished conversations. Where those earlier works confronted loss directly, Akesha begins to explore what comes after: the uncertain terrain of continuing forward while carrying the past with you.

The collection reflects on thresholds— moments where life quietly divides itself into before and after. Across the works are recurring ideas of crossings, horizons, monumental forces, fragmented paths, memory as landscape, and the uneasy tension between fear and wonder.

Rather than treating grief as a singular event, Akesha approaches it as something integrated into perception itself— a lens that reshapes how we experience time, scale, identity, and meaning. The works are intentionally quiet at times, resisting spectacle in favor of atmosphere, symbolism, and emotional residue. They ask what it means to continue onward when clarity never fully arrives.

At its core, Akesha is about learning to exist within uncertainty. Not overcoming it, but walking through it.

Each work is minted fully on-chain on ETH L1, preserving not only the image itself, but the structure beneath it— the code, motion, imperfections, and hidden details that make the pieces feel alive. In the series, the blockchain becomes more than a medium of ownership; it becomes part of the philosophy itself. These works are designed to persist— quietly existing across time, carrying their signals forward long after the moment they were created.
